What is Thrill The World?
Thrill The World is an annual worldwide simultaneous dance of Michael Jackson's “Thriller.”
- Volunteer event organizers in cities around the world organize events using the Thrill the World leaders manual and Thrill the World tool box.
- Anyone can organize an event! No age requirement or experience necessary. And there is no limit to the number of events in each city.
- Each event has the option to raise money for a local charity of their choice.
- All official Thrill the World events are included in the numbers for setting and breaking World Records.
Learn the Dance
We’ve got everything you need to learn the Thriller dance, whether you’re an experienced dancer or a total beginner. Think you have two left feet? Well, Thrill The World was created with YOU in mind! ANYONE CAN DANCE! And Thrill The World has taught tens of thousands of people from age 3 to 60+. So if you don’t think you can dance… we’re here to bring it out of you!
To get started, head over to the videos section. The series of video clips will break down all the moves for you. You’ll see that we teach using the ‘Kinesthetic Linguistic Method’ developed by Ines Markelle, which essentially means “using words with movements.”
Once you’re getting in to the swing of things, you might want to get yourself a copy of the dance script. You can also download the audio tracks too, to help you remember the words and steps. The tracks are available in four speeds from super slow to regular speed.
Don’t forget, for the full experience, The OFFICIAL Thrill The World Thriller Teaching DVD is available to buy online. It’s packed full of everything you need to learn the dance - ideal for the TV in your lounge.
